How can we improve Daily Notes?

Don't like the new look - please restore to old

Please restore old settings, I cannot see the dates, numbers are white, no option to change. This is a bad update.

    Hi Guys,

    As promised, we have released a classic leather look for Daily Notes. It is not exactly same as the older version, but we did our best to match it where possible. Kindly update and do let us know your feedback.

    Just to give you a heads up, we are planning an iPhone version of Daily Notes and will be adding more features based on your request!

        Thank you SO MUCH for being so responsive and bringing back the black leather and tinted pages so quickly. The most recent improvements and fixes and tweaks make this once again the top-notch daily app for me. You guys rock! Very, very impressive.

        I'm new to this app but I must say it has a hideous color scheme and changing colors doesn't help. The palette of colors looks cheap and frankly, I don't want to spend much time in this app until there is a change. It reminds me of the tedious designs from Franklin Covey.

        Hope this changes soon

        I agree the new look is a bit tacky and not friendly to the eye. However I really like the ability to highlight text and underline, but still needs some work on ful functionality.I would gladly pay for the option to have the "leather" style back, along with latest options. That so many users are requesting the original or classic look, should mean something to the developers. Surprising to me it has been "under review" for this long. Hope they actually Do something soon.

        There was a promise to bring back the old look. I love this app and think it is great, however as a long time customer, the old look was better by far. Nothing has changed in regards for the functionally of the app, it is still a great app, however the look is horrible now. I cannot determine what date an entry was made, the overall look is childish and will become dated very soon. The old look was classy, sophisticated and timeless. I would be willing to pay in order to get a new version. The old look with the newer functionality that the app currently has in addition to additional formatting abilities (automatic bullets/numbers. Etc), ability to sun to the iPhone, iBook/MAC, automatic iCloud backup, and other features. Again, the app is great as it is (not including the new look) however I think with one more update as indicated above and a new marketing strategy as mentions previously, this app will be a killer and on all existing iPads.

        There is no such promise made. And there are also old customers who are very happy with the new look. I'm one of many. :)

        There was a promise to get back the old look as a option. When can we get this. Oyherwise i want my money back. I did buy the program for the look and feel. I understand that new buyers like this new look, but i feel betrayed. Hurry now!

        I *love* the new look - it actually has brought me back to using Daily Notes, and I'm using it as one of my main organizational apps. Thanks for updating the UI, it's a winner, IMO.

        Ok, I have just read Rama's comment about Apple not promoting the Daily Notes product. That was interesting to me and rang true, as I have personally demonstrated and promoted the Daily Notes product in my Penrith Apple store to more than one sales person. The staff were not familiar with Daily Notes and loved how it worked when I showed them. So perhaps Rama what you have is not a product functionality problem but a marketing problem. Are the updates based on instructions and advice from Apple? Is that the driver here?
        What if you were to try an alternative marketing strategy assisted by your customers? As well as allowing customer to pay to keep the old version, you can get existing customers involved with promotion to assist the product to remain financially viable to you. After all there are so many people ready to share what they love and know, its going on all the time, why didn't you just let us know what help you needed and why.... Think about what I have suggested, and let us know what we can do to help you and ourselves, what do you say?
        This is also a product which is perfect for students and teachers, and as such I have successfully promoted it a number of times. If overdone, it is less intuitive and loses functionality, even though it has the ability to do more, many users will become lost and thus are able to do less.
        Does this make sense. Have faith in your product, perhaps its time to find new ways to reach your market and generate the ongoing income which you require. Ps.its also great for seniors.... When I show them, they go straight to the app store. Regards, again.

        Sometimes changes are about maintaining or improving service, I think we all understand that. Sometimes more is better, we understand that also. Sometimes we don't want a multi-multi function item, we want one that specialises in just the things that we need and is efficient and easy to use, plus we love the look if it. That was DailyNotes for me.
        Sometimes change and innovation are there to drive and maintain sales, i loved the version I bought and I would pay again to renew it each year. If I wanted a new diary or similar, i would have to pay again at the newsagent, to get a fresh version of the diary I used last year. The only major change I want is this years dates. Can we please have that option, let the new version be an alternate product. Give those of us who love the old app the opportunity to put our money where our opinions are. Please, please, .... Try this solution., regards, cb.

        I agree that the old look was professional and should be restored.
        At least you should give users the option to remain with the leather
        look that we purchased!

        1) there is no longer a light backround colour to the page that matches the tab you are in and this is not only less appealing but also makes it less obvious that you have entered the right tab.

        2) the new choice to remove the colour highlighting of the days with entries in the monthly tab on the left is also displeasing. Simply having bold numbers does not offer the same visual contrast at all!

        Please bring back the more colourful pages!

        Finaly got a reply from support. Thank you, but I already know what you copy&pasted in there, I already read it here on the support section while waiting for support to reply. No workaround for a downgrade included. Thats is all I want. I already opened a case at apple about this and requested a refund. Bye bye Daily Notes, I will avoid any product of you and your companies in the future, thats for sure! I will also spread the story among the people I know so they wont get cheated by this Company.
